Jim Wadzinski

President
Jim, from Rhinelander, Wisconsin, attended Rhinelander Union High and the University of Wisconsin – Eau Claire, studying Theater and Business. Living in Baytown since 1983, he's the Community Affairs Manager for Community Auto Group. He's involved in several non-profits, including the Baytown Chamber of Commerce, GCCISD Education Foundation, and multiple Chamber of Commerce boards. Recognitions include Baytown’s “Citizen of the Year” (2014), Terry Davis Award (2014), Volunteer of the Year (2013), and Kiwanian of the Year (2014). He led the Lee College Small Business Advisory Board and is a Kiwanis Club member.

Pete Lester

Board Member
Pete Lester is a graduate of Texas A&M University with a Bachelor of Environmental Design and a Master of Science in Construction. She began volunteering with the Bay Area Homeless Services as a project consultant during the design/construction of the Britton Fuller Center 2014-2016 and joined the Board of Directors in 2017. Pete actively serves as the chair of the Facilities Committee.

Michelle Bitterly

Board Member
Michelle Bitterly, CRM is the proud owner of Awards and Engraving in Baytown Texas. She has served as the Chief Inspiration Officer since 1991. Michelle has a deep commitment to Baytown and service.

Kendall David

Board Member
Kendall was raised in Baytown and currently works at Goose Creek CISD as the Executive Director of Community Engagement. With a background in teaching, school counseling, and campus administration in Goose Creek schools, Kendall is deeply driven to serve BAHS and assist with the shelter’s mission and goals to serve the community.

Roy Price

Board Member
Roy is a graduate of the C.T. Bauer College of Business at the University of Houston with a BBA in Finance. He works for Texas First Bank as a Loan Officer and is a member of the Lions Club of Baytown. He has been a Board Member for the Bay Area Homeless Services since 2020 and serves on the Finance Committee.

Dave Jirrels

Board Member
Dave Jirrels is a graduate of Wichita State University with a degree in Political Science and has an associates degree in Funeral Service from The Commonwealth Institute. He is an ordained pastor at Second Baptist Church in Baytown. He has served on the board of BAHS for the past 5 years and is very active in the community.

Daryl Fontenot

Board Member
Daryl Fontenot is a native of Baytown and a graduate of Ross S Sterling High School. Daryl is a Wealth Management Advisor with Merrill Lynch and holds the Certified Financial Planner™ designation. He has been with Merrill Lynch since 2000. Daryl is an active volunteer in Baytown where he has served with the United Way of Greater Baytown and Chambers County, the Bay Area Homeless Services, the Rotary Club of Baytown, and the GCCISD Citizens Bond Advisory Committee. Daryl is also a Lector and a member of the Finance committee of Holy Family Catholic Church. Daryl is married to Bridgette, and they have three sons, Andy, Nicholas, and Adam.

Stephen DonCarlos

Board Member
Stephen DonCarlos was born in Kilgore. After graduating high school in Andrew, DonCarlos attended Texas Tech University, graduating with a Bachelor of Business Administration in Accounting in 1976. Three years later, he received a Juris Doctorate from the University of Texas. In the private sector, Steve practices general civil law under his firm name, Stephen H. DonCarlos PLLC. Steve served four terms as Mayor of Baytown from 2006 to 2018. He was first elected to City Council in 1992, where he served three terms as Councilman. A leader in the community, Steve is a member and past president of the Baytown Rotary club and a Board member and past Chair of the Baytown/West Chambers County Economic Development Foundation. Steve has served on the Baytown Chamber Board of Directors since 2005 and has twice served as Chairman of the Board. He is a past recipient of the Fred Hartman Leadership Award. He currently serves as Chairman of the Board of the Lee College Foundation. In addition to his commitment to Baytown, Steve serves in a regional capacity as a Port of Houston Commissioner and was previously Chairman of the Board of Managers of the Harris County Hospital District and on the Board of Directors of the Texas Medical Center, as well past President of both the Harris County Mayors and Councils Association and the East Harris County Bar Association.
