Junior Board
Kendall David
Secretary
Kendall David serves Bay Area Homeless Services as the Secretary of the Junior Board. Kendall was raised in Baytown and currently works at Goose Creek CISD as the Director of Marketing. With a background in teaching, school counseling, and campus administration in Goose Creek schools, Kendall is deeply driven to serve BAHS and assist with the shelter’s mission and goals to serve the community.
Nancy Bonds
President
Nancy Bonds serves Bay Area Homeless Services as the President of the Junior Board. Raised in Baytown, Nancy currently works at Goose Creek CISD as the 6-8 District Math Instructional Specialist. She has worked in Goose Creek for 12 years, following in the footsteps of her mother and grandfather. Nancy and her family have a vested interest in continuing to support the Bay Area Homeless Services and the Baytown community.
Brian Carlton
Past President
Brian Carlton is an experienced sales manager in the oil and gas service industry. He obtained his
undergraduate degree in Marketing from Texas A&M University, as well as Master’s degree from Rice University in Business Administration. Brian is a lifelong Houstonian and has a passion for serving those in need and discipleship.

Katy Provost
Junior Board Member
Katy Provost is a graduate of University of Houston Clear Lake with a Business of Science in Accounting. She has been in Baytown for over the last 10 years, and is looking forward to helping Bay Area Homeless Services achieve its mission. She has been a member of the BAHS Junior Board since 2019.
Heron Thomas
Junior Board Member
Heron Thomas was raised in Baytown and currently works at Barbers Hill ISD as a principal. He is also the founder of the Thomas Institute of Excellence (TIE) Program and is involved with many other community programs and organizations. With a background in teaching and campus administration in schools, Heron is deeply driven to serve BAHS and assist with the shelter’s mission and goals to serve the community.
Erika Foster
Junior Board Member
Erika Foster is a graduate of Texas State University with a Bachelors of Business Administration in
Management and a Masters of Business Administration from the University of Texas at Tyler. Erika joined Goose Creek CISD three years ago as the first director of the Foundation, but she is no stranger to Goose Creek. She is a product of Goose Creek CISD elementary and junior schools, and she graduated from Ross S. Sterling High School. It is no surprise that she is an avid supporter of nonprofit organizations and is often seen in the community volunteering at events. She has been a member of the BAHS Junior Board since 2019.
Haley Burnside
Junior Board Member
Haley Burnside was raised in Baytown and works as a Nurse Practitioner in the Houston area.
Michael Yeckley
Junior Board Member
Michael is an FP&A analyst in the energy industry. He graduated with a bachelor’s degree in finance from Mays Business School at Texas A&M University. Upon graduation, he began working full-time in Houston, where he became involved in a multitude of community-oriented organizations such as Sharpen Recovery, Houston Food Bank, and currently serves as the professional development chair for the Young Professional Employee Resource Group at his workplace. With 10+ years of service within the surrounding Texas communities, Michael has been noted as a passionate advocate for providing opportunity, equitable living, and holistic community betterment.
Tyler Moehlman
Junior Board Member
Tyler is an M&A and Investments Analyst for energyRe. He has a bachelor's degree in petrochemical engineering from Texas A&M and a master's degree from Rice University in business administration.
Brittany Wood
Junior Board Member
Brittany is from the area and graduated from Barbers Hill High School and Texas A&M. After graduation, she worked in the energy sector for Quanta Services before finding her passion as a teacher and coach. Brittany worked as an educator in La Porte and Barbers Hill for 12 years before deciding to serve our community as a real estate agent. In addition, she works at Triple C Project Services.

Pete C. Alfaro is the President of the Bay Area Homeless Services (BAHS) Board. Elected in 2004, he
has served the BAHS tirelessly, working to improve the local community.
