The specialized training and services our staff receives from community volunteers is truly appreciated.

Bay Area Homeless Services, Inc. is blessed to have the assistance of many great organizations and partners throughout its service area. We dedicate this page to the groups who have helped us serve our growing list of clients during this past year. While by no means is this list totally inclusive, it is visually representative of the tremendous support we have from our area's business and nonprofit community.

 Covestro LLC Provides Staff Training

Evening RA Practices CPRHere Chris Guzman, a critical care nurse from Covestro LLC guides our night shift Resident Advocate through the procedures for successfully performing CPR until skilled medical personnel arrive.

Thanks to Covestro LLC, eight staffers were trained and certified in First Aid CPR AED procedures. While we hope that we never need to provide these services, it is training that can be used anywhere to save a life when necessary.

VFW Post 912 of Baytown

 VFW Post 912 and BAHS

radio-showContinuing our excellent relationship with our local VFW Post, here Post Quartermaster Chuck Hutchison appears with Bill Eckert at a taping of a radio show for the Archdiocese of Galveston-Houston devoted to Baytown Veteran services.  Prepared for a scheduled series of broadcasts, the presentation focused on the services provided by both organizations to the Veteran community in eastern Harris and Chambers Counties. The broadcasts highlighted the spirit of cooperation and mutual support each organization shows for each other and the stakeholders we serve.

Baytown Junior Forum  Donates and Decorates Tree

junior-forum-decoratesLadies from the Baytown Junior Forum came together to set up and decorate the Christmas Tree at Britton-Fuller Center. This will be the first year of the new center, and the local service organization came out to insure that the tree was trimmed, and the family area was well-decorated. (see the Britton-Fuller page for a picture of the completed tree project)

We continue to get compliments about the "homelike setting" provided at the Britton-Fuller Center. The women of Baytown Junior Forum put an exclamation point on that sentiment with their efforts. We continue to treasure the relationship we have been fortunate enough to develop over the past few years.
