Baytown’s new Hilton Garden Inn will host the March Mane Event extravaganza. “We are pleased to return this event to Baytown, and the community we serve” said Bill Eckert, the shelter’s Executive Director. Since 1982 the agency has considered the needs of the community when designing programs that meet community expectations, and this venue change is no exception. While last year’s event was successful, we expect that the 2018 edition to be an even bigger success in terms of participation by local business and community leadership.
In addition to the venue change to this new facility, there will be more live and silent auction items, with the featured item a stay in a grand home in Park City, UT donated by the Roger and Kim Elswick, owners of Community Toyota-Honda-Kia. Also featured will be a hand-made quilt produced by an award-winning local quilter, jewelry, shotgun and hunting package, and as always, home-made pies by our own Texas Pie Lady, Helen Smith. Entertainment will be provided by the “roasting” of community leader Ronnie Anderson, which promises to be much more entertaining for the audience than the roastee.
Tickets are still available to the public for $75/person. Call the shelter office (281-425-2140) to reserve seats at this event.
